Short film competition

Guidelines

1. Your video must be 15 – 30 seconds long

2. Your video must be relevant to the theme “What is my Vision for the future?”

3. We will be judging your video based on the content, execution, creativity and entertainment value.

4. You must not have any material that is inappropriate or may cause offense (e.g. racist, sexist, homophobic etc.).

5. You cannot enter more than one video – if you enter more than once, we will only take the most recent submission into consideration. 

6. Winners will be announced on our social media channels and will be notified directly via phone or email in early May – so follow our social media and keep an eye out on your emails!

7. The top three winners will have their video published on the Vision Super website and social media.

Terms and conditions

1. Information relating to entry, the collection of personal information and prizes forms part of the conditions of entry. By entering the ‘Share Your Vision’ competition (Competition), you agree to comply with these terms and conditions.

2. The Competition is promoted by the Local Authorities Superannuation Fund (also known as Vision Super Pty Ltd) ABN 24 496 637 884 of Level 15/360 Collins Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000 (Promoter) visionsuper.com.au ph: 1300 300 820.

3. Entry is open to Australian residents over the age of 18 irrespective of whether they are members of the Promoter or not. Directors, management and employees of the Promoter (and their immediate families) and its suppliers and companies associated with this Competition are ineligible to enter. Entry into the Competition is free.

4. The Competition is open from 12.00 AM on Sunday 1 March 2020 and closes at 11.59 PM on Tuesday 31 March 2020 (Promotional Period). Only entries submitted during the Promotional Period will be accepted. An entry is deemed to be accepted when the entrant is taken through to the confirmation page after clicking submit.

5. Entry is limited to one entry per person with group/team entries permitted. In the case of group/team entry, one person must submit the entry on behalf of the group/team with the submission being counted as one entry. If two or more entrants upload the same video, the Promoter will only accept the first entry received into its database during the Promotional Period. If one entrant uploads two or more videos, we will only accept the most recent submission.

6. To enter the Competition, entrants must submit a 15 to 30 second Vimeo or YouTube video outlining their ‘Vision for the Future’ by copying a URL link to your video into the online submission form on the Vision Super website submission page. Strict adherence to the duration time will be applied. Information on how to submit your entry can be found in the Submission Guidelines available on the Vision Super website submission page.

7. Submissions must not contain any inappropriate or offensive language or imagery, and must not involve participants engaging in conduct that is dangerous or causes harm to people, animals or the natural environment. Entries must not include content that is defamatory or otherwise not in keeping with the spirit of the competition.

8. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for corrupted, delayed, illegible, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, late, lost or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence whether due to alteration, communication failure, deletion, destruction, error, omission, tampering, theft, transmission interruption or otherwise.

9. Entrants represent and warrant to the Promoter that neither the entry (nor its submission), nor the videos provided or submitted by the entrant will breach any law or regulation or the rights of any third party (including any privacy or intellectual property law).


10. The total prize pool for the Competition is $16,700. There will be one (1) Grand Prize winner (Winner) and nine (9) runners up (Second to Tenth place) prize winners (Prize Winners). The Winner will receive $10,000, the first runner-up (Second Place) will receive $5,000 and the second runner-up (Third Place) will receive $1,000. The remaining top ten Prize Winners (Fourth to Tenth place) will each receive a $100 Rewards Come True EFTPOS Card. The Promoter reserves the right to withhold any of the prizes if insufficient entries are received. Prizes are in Australian dollars and are correct as at the date of these conditions of entry.

11. Entries will be judged in the preliminary stage by a panel of judges comprising of the Promoter’s Graduate Team followed by a final judging process comprised of the Promoter’s Executive Team and various individuals from external agencies that are independent of the Promoter. Entries will be judged against set criteria including content, execution, originality/creativity, entertainment value and the ‘Share Your Vision for the Future’ theme of the Competition. Prize Winners will be determined based on a total score derived from the above criteria. In the event of a draw, the prize money will be split equally between the drawn entrants. The Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the decision. This Competition is a game of skill only and chance plays no part in determining the Prize Winners.

12. Prizes are not exchangeable, redeemable or transferable and must be claimed. If a prize is left unclaimed or forfeited, the Promoter reserves the right to re-distribute the prizes and will contact all Prize Winners prior to distributing the prizes.

13. Submissions will only be accepted if they adhere to the Competition terms and conditions and the submission guidelines. Any entry not complying with the Competition terms and conditions will be invalid. Incomplete, indecipherable or ineligible entries will also be deemed invalid.

14. The Prize Winners will be determined on 29 May 2020 at Level 15/360 Collins Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000. Entrants are not required to attend. The names of the Prize Winners will be announced following the conclusion of the draw and published on the Promoter’s website and social media platforms. Prize Winners will be notified by phone or email. The Winner’s video submission will be posted on the website and social media platforms following the announcement.

15. Entrants consent to having their name, video and any promotional photographs being used by the Promoter for the purposes of promoting the Competition and announcing the Winner (including being posted to our social media channels).

16. For any prize that remains unclaimed by 11.59pm AEST on Tuesday 30 June 2020 or forfeited through ineligibility or otherwise, the Promoter will award the Prize to the next entry with the highest score as determined by the Judges. In the event any prize is unclaimed or forfeited, the Judges will announce the next Prize Winner(s) at 3pm AEST on Wednesday 1 July 2020 at Level 15/360 Collins Street, Melbourne, VIC.

17. Entrants agree that all entries, videos and any copyright will become and remain the property of the Promoter and may be available to view on the Promotor’s website and social media channels with the intent to no longer promote the competition via these platforms post 31 December 2021.

18. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the identity of entrants using the personal information provided on the online submission form. A failure to complete the online submission form will result in the submission being ruled ineligible. Prize Winners will also need to provide the Promoter copies of certified ID in order to claim their prize.

19. If the Competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, it reserves the right to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Competition as it sees appropriate. The Promoter reserves its legal rights to recover damages and/or other compensation from a person whom is in breach of these conditions of entry or who engages in any unlawful or improper conduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the competition.

20. All personal information collected by the Promoter is done so in order to conduct the Competition. The Promoter will not disclose any personal information to any third parties or suppliers other than for the purposes of conducting the Competition and is bound by the requirements imposed on it by the Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles.

21. Entrants consent to The Promoter’s use and disclosure of information about them as outlined in clause 15 and agree to their information being used for this purpose, upon completing the online submission form.

22. The Promoter’s privacy policy is available at www.visionsuper.com.au/privacy and it includes details about how individuals can seek access to and correction to their personal information, and how they can make a privacy complaint.

23. Subject to complying with the identification requirements in clause 18, Prize Winners must allow the Promoter a period of 30 days from the date Prize Winners are determined to transfer the prizes to the Prize Winners via cheque or gift card.

24. The Promoter will use registered post to deliver prizes to Prize Winners and will not be responsible for prizes that are posted by the Promoter but not delivered to the Prize Winner for reasons beyond the control of the Promoter.

25. The Promoter is not responsible for distributing the proceeds of the prize among group winners.

26. The Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including, but not limited to, indirect or consequential loss and including equipment/communications line/telephone/mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access (including by electronic means) to or alteration of entries), or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any entry or the Prize/s except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

27. Each entrant releases Facebook, Instagram, Vimeo and YouTube from all liability whatsoever related to the Competition and acknowledges that the Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, Vimeo and YouTube. This Competition adheres to YouTube’s Community Guidelines and any submission which contravenes these Guidelines will be deemed ineligible.

28. Each entrant releases Rewards Come True from all liability whatsoever related to the Competition and acknowledges that the Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Rewards Come True.
